Protein Powerhouse

If your goal is high-quality protein without the saturated fat, cholesterol or animal cruelty, you'll need to consider adding these protein powerhouses to your meals. And do't worry, they are delicious!

Beans
They are relatively cheap and easy to cook, not to mention packed with protein.
There are many uses for beans, soups, tacos salads, rice etc.


Lentils
Some of us probably ate too much lentil growing up, but that doesn't change the fact that each pound of lentil contains at least 12 grams of protein.

Vegan meat substitutes
Not only do they taste good, they are high in protein and they're perfect for quick and easy sandwiches and also entrees.

Tofu
Believe it or not, I am yet to try tofu, but many vegans toss it in stir fires and barbecue sauces.

Peanut Butter and Nuts
I love peanut butter as a quick snack. Nuts as well serve the same purpose. While enjoying a cereal or salad, you can toss either walnuts, almonds or any other nuts to your meal.
